Competition NO BALLET 2012
From November 8 to 10, 2012, the Theater im Pfalzbau in Ludwigshafen / Germany hosts the International Choreography Competition NO BALLET 2012 – a competition for modern and contemporary dance, according to the idea and artistic concept of the choreographer Juliane Rößler.
The conceptual motto NO BALLET of the competition as well as the artistic credo “reduce to the max” should encourage the choreographers to concentrate on the essentials of a (post) modern dance-production: Choreographers should develop their own contemporary and genuine dance-language, their own style, beyond established dance techniques and movements, and without the help of splendid stage-design, costumes and light-effects. Professionals of every age with choreographies with at least two dancers are invited to apply.
